The thought of going live on camera may scare the bejesus out of you.
That’s OK, you’re normal. Most people fear public speaking over death.
But you see it all over social media.
Are these people born with a different ‘go live’ gene than you?
They have just sucked it up and done it.
Why have they?
Because currently, it’s the best way to get through to your customers.
The social media algorithms love it.
Your customers love it.
It’s the ‘new’ way of ‘word of mouth selling.
It’s authentic and real.
We are all sick and tired of the BS that goes on over social media, the news, telemarketers, that we are soaking up anything that is ‘real’.
Facebook has said that it wants to become the largest video platform in the world - that’s a huge call, considering how MASSIVE Youtube is.
If you’re too petrified to get in front of a camera, I have some ideas for you to try.
> talk with a filter on. There are some really fun filters in Instagram Stories, have a play with them first and see which one suits your branding.
> screen record your screen without your face on it, just have yourself talking.
> take a movie of your surroundings/business without your face on it.
> make a movie of the process of something with you talking (or another employee) in the > background telling us what’s happening.

Live video continues to thrive
Here are some more stats to encourage you to get in video:
80% of audiences prefer watching live video from brands as opposed to reading a blog. And 82% of consumers say they would rather watch live videos than read social media posts.
Remember though, once you’ve done your live, don’t run away quickly.
Engagement is KEY to improving your customer service on social media.
